It has been a while since I have been here. I haven't been feeling much like being on the computer. As some of you know, I was in an auto accident, which I drove away from. Well, the insurance totaled out my 1987 VW Vanagon Syncro, which was still very driveable. The insurance company said they wouldn't fix it because it had little value. To them maybe, but to me... well, she and I had traveled over 210,000 miles together. And after the accident, we kept on traveling together. Sadly my Vanagon no longer resides at my address, instead there is a different set of wheels out front.
Its a Honda, and would you believe that is the brand of car that took out my Vanagon. The Vanagon was my first and only brand new car and was 4WD.
The Honda has some firsts for me too. It is deep plum, our first dark colored car, and, it is an automatic. Did you know that the left foot gets jealous of the right foot when it doesn't have its own pedal to play with? And, oh my gosh, my right hand keeps looking for the gear shift knob! After manually shifting for 50 years, I hope it doesn't take too long to break the habit..
Here's hoping the Mini and I will have many, many good miles together.

Congrats on your new wheels, Joyce, but I am sure sorry about the reason behind your getting it. Hopefully this one grows on you as much as your VW!
