GAB Challenge #13
Surprise! Any 3-D project

My project isn't very 3-D, but it does have some depth. It just doesn't show in a picture. The image is cut using the three smaller dies from Nestability label 11 and my Big Kick. The pieces are each pop dotted and layered on top of each other. It was quite a challenge to get the cuts correct so the image had depth. I used no extra embellishments so as to not draw attention from the image.
The stamp is from PrintWorksCollection and ink is Brilliance Galaxy Gold.
Its now your turn. Go over to GAB Challenge and see the projects of the DT, make your project and publish it to GAB.

This is a picture I took in October 2009 while I was in AZ with Jeffrey and Jordan my grandsons. We had gone there, staying just outside Phoenix, for a gymnastics camp. We took a drive on the Apache Trail and this is a picture of one of the many beautiful places we saw as we traveled along the trail. The "trail" was about 28 miles loooong. It was a single lane dirt road with switch backs, "S" curves and hairpin curves. It was a harrowing experience for someone that doesn't like to drive., like me. We were, however, treated to some beautiful scenery. At the end of the four hour drive, we saw the Roosevelt Dam and just beyond that, the most breath taking bridge I had ever seen (in person). Got a picture of a very small part of the lake, got a picture of the dam, but never even thought to get a picture of the bridge.
This was my first time doing a "tiled" picture for anything. I made several and this one turned out the best. I am anxious to see the beautiful projects you come up with for this challenge. You can enter your project at GAB Challenge. Have fun.

GAB Challenge #11 is Theme-Border
I chose a very simple design. I actually prefer making a "Clean And Simple" designed card. With this card, I really didn't feel that it needed extra embellishments. Although, small gems or pearls could be placed at the end of each flourish. The image (stamp from Inkadinkado) is heat embossed using  Pearlized Amythest embossing powder from Stampendous. The sentiment is stamped in Dark Blackberry from Memories and the border punch is a Fiskars.
Go on over to GAB Challenges to see the wonderful cards the other DTs have made, then submit your card. I am anxious to see how this theme has inspired YOU.
Thank you for stopping by, take card

OWH Sketch #64

I am so proud that I have the opportunity to show a sample of an OWH sketch.

I studied the sketch trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I love butterflies, so wanted to put one on the card. I also used my favorite stamp which is from Hero Arts.  I have used this stamp on so many of my cards. The butterfly is a Spellbinder's die. I can't find the boarder punch I used, but it is probably a Fiskars.

I used chalks to color the background and the butterfly. I stamped the sentiment in green ink then used Twinklett pens to add color with an iridescence look.   The gems are from Want2Scrap.

The butterfly is two pieces and I used a small popdot to place it.

GAB Sketch Challenge #10
Here is the GAB sketch for this week.

Here is what I did with it.
I used my Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge to cut the bird house. The stripe paper is Colorbok double sided cardstock in Sage. The pink and that hit of brown on the birdhouse are left over scraps of Bazzill cardstock..
I like this sketch, its a good one for using up all those scraps we tend to  have laying around.

The picture to the left speaks for itself. I just finished the blog hop.  I visited 13 blogs and saw some really neat projects. Aside from visiting the blogs, there is a contest to win a Scor-Pal which ends in a little less than 24 hours from this post.  I hope I win the Scor-Pal; but even if I don't, I enjoyed all the blogs. Thank you Stamping Scrapping.

All projects had to use supplies from the following companies:

   Spellbinders™ Paper Arts-Grand Calibur
   Scor-Pal-Scor-Pal Scoring Board
   Basic Grey-Patterned Paper
   LaLa Land Crafts-Rubberstamps

I use spellbinders dies, don't have a Scor-Pal, love Basic Grey papers and I'm certainly going to have to go over to LaLaLand Crafts for a look see.

Three colors are So Saffron, Real Red, and Peach parfait
As you can see, my card is mostly So Saffron. It didn't start out that way, I miss read the colors. I made the motif without the Peach Parfait and placed it on a green card base. As I was typing in the colors I realized my mistake. I took the motif and added a layer of Peach Parfait and placed it on the So Saffron card base. I then added the ribbon strip. In less than a minute my card looked totally different.  There are so many ways to put these three colors together. Now its your turn. Have fun.
