ITS SEPTEMBER!!!
Wow, September is here and the kids are back in school. You know what that means...Holloween is just around the corner. Well, the Your Scrapbook Place (YSBP) Challenge blog
is ready for some new fun. This month the challenge is Anything Goes with a bonus if you use an image from SLS Lines.
Here is the card I made for the YSBP challenge. I checked out the SLS Lines digital images and WOW, how do I choose from such a wonderful collection. Since Halloween is not too far away, I decided that I would do a Halloween (not too scary tho) card.
The image I chose is Halloween Pumpkins
I used pencils to color them and gave them googly eyes. The fence/gate is from Cricut's October 31 cartridge and the moon & cloud is Haunted House die from QuicKutz.
Here is another card using the same pumpkins.
I used pens on this card, and again, gave the pumpkins googly eyes. The bats that you see on the front of the box is also part of the Halloween Pumpkins image. The sentiment is from an acrylic Halloween stamp set I purchased a few years back. The card design was demoed at SU Club and as we were doing the folds, I was thinking that "it's a cute card, but I'll never make one on my own". Little did I know that it would be perfect for this Halloween Pumpkin image set.
Another view of the card. This card folds flat and fits in a standard A2 envie.
Now that you've gotten this far, why not check out the YSBP challenge blog and SLS Lines store. AND, if you want another challenge, go here
Thanks for stopping by.

Mystery CAL 2015
I finished it and I finished on time. Every where I went, I took my crocheting with me. I got it entered into the drawing for a prize of some really nice yarns and stuff. I didn't win tho. Hey, they had over two thousand entries.
A mystery crochet project. The post just before this one shows the first clue. I had planned on posting my work in progress, but alas... However, here is the finished piece. But before I show you the finished piece, here are two of the clues.
Clue one was in the last post, We made 20 little granny squares. This is the second step.
I didn't take any pictures of the next seven steps. So here is the completed project.
We were allowed to choose our own colors which I did (A-Sunshine, B- Grape, C-Strawberry and D-Blue Mist) and put them in the order of my own choosing. I didn't follow the color order (ABCD) as they were given in the instructions. Actually I did until we were given the step that made those puffy things in the middle of each square. Mine were to be pink. I got to the point that I didn't like the pink so decided that I would make the puffy thing to match the boarder of the square it was in. I really don't like the puffy things but they had to be there to enter into the drawing. I also changed up the colors of the boarder. If I had known what it was going to look like I probably would have put my colors in a different order.
I have this thing and have no idea what to do with it.
If you would like to see what others did, go here. There are thousands of them.
Thanks for stopping by.

Here is the third step. At this point I loved my colors and I thought the grannys looked like butterflies.

Mystery 2015 CAL
I have joined an on-line mystery crochet. We are given a clue a week for ten weeks. Clue #1 was given on Feb. 10. Clue #2 will be given tomorrow. However, if you are interested, you can find the information about the challenge and also the first clue here: http://www.yarnspirations.com/kal-cal.
Here is my Clue #1
I don't have all 20 of them completed yet, but they will be done tonight. We went camping over the weekend, so I figured that would give me time to finish up my squares. They are easy, takes me about half an hour to make one. I take my yarn and some hooks so I can work my squares. I go to get my stuff out and find that I left the hook I needed at home.UGH!!
Am home now and have done two squares with four more to go. They will get done tho. I want to keep up with this. I will come out with an afghan of four colors. My primary color is Caron Simply Soft Sunshine. That's all you get for now. Come back next week to see another color and more squares.

Is it worth it?
I'm about ready to give up. I joined the Outlawz Freebee/progressive challenge. I love challenges, but this one is doing me in. I get the image, make my card and add it to the Gallery. Everything is fine to this point. I then go to where I'm suppose to post my photo for the challenge, yeah, right. Following instructions, I get the URL for my photo from the gallery, copy into the box on the entry form. Click to upload it and get a message that "there is no file at that address". Since that didn't work for the umpteenth time, I try to add it from my computer. I get the message that it can't be uploaded. This happened last month also. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but this is getting ridiculous!
Here is what I'm trying to upload to the challenge:
The image is Little Christmas Girl from All Dressed Up. Isn't she just adorable? Paper, sentiment and colors are from SU. I flocked the white on her hat and skirt and added a pompom also to her hat. The gems, pompom and flocking are from my stash.
I am going to try once again to upload my photo my chosen Outlaws Challenge. Wish me luck.
I have also entered this at Your Scrapbook Place Anything Goes Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Its a new
year and with it comes new challenges. Yip, at Your Scrapbook Place, we have a
new challenge "ANYTHING GOES" with a prize of four digis from Sunflowerfield
Designs that will go to a lucky winner of the random drawing. Before we get to
the challenge let me give you a little bit of information about Sunflowerfield
Designs, our sponsor this month.
"Sunflowerfield is a small company located in Finland and we offer 'Cozy Home Products and Crafters' Essentials'. We have our own 'Sunflowerfield Designs' rubber and digi stamps designed by Vanja Stevanović and stamps from three fabulous companies: Wild Rose Studio, Whimsy Stamps and Crafty Sentiment Designs. In our webstore you will find quality ink pads, designer paper packs, different embellishments (brads, gems, pearls, charms...), wooden elements like hearts, stars, flowers... then satin flowers, paper roses, laces, ribbons, acrylic blocks and more."
The image I used is
Coffee and Cake. I fell in love with this digi, the first time I saw it. I see
friendship in this digi. I think it would be nice on note paper, a scrapbook
page or a card. The photo doesn't show that I used a silver metallic pen on the
spoon, glitter pens on the cake and cup or the heat embossing on the cake.
