What did I get myself into?
It was my turn to present a project at our SU Club meeting. I was to present a technique and I'm sort of lacking in this department. I came up with the crimped diamond, but I couldn't get it to come together. I needed some mojo and I didn't know where to find it. So I went hunting for a project  using a crimper. I found this really cute pocket card and decided to play around with it. I was having a hard time with it. I think I e-mailed my SU Rep. three times in one day. I'm new to SU and don't have a lot of product to play with yet. I worked on my project right up to the time I had to leave. On the left is what I ended up with. I wasn't happy with it, but the technique is really great. This pocket card is made using a standard card envie.

< This piece is cut from the envie. Its the top and slips over the insert and closes the pocket.
< An insert to write a note on, or one could use the pocket for a gift card.
< Body of the pocket card. This part is crimped AFTER it is decorated but NOT embellished. The cupcake, sentiment and any other embellishments are added AFTER crimping.

Thanks for stopping by. Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Your card looks wonderful, Joyce! I have seen this technique but never tried it yet. I may have to give it a go, it looks like a lot of fun. I bet your SU club will enjoy it :)

Joyce, you did an awesome job with this card! I really like your color choices! This is one of my favorite crimping projects, too! Another favorite using the crimper is the sour cream containers. Keep up the beautiful work! Blessings to you!
